About Amber Ashy

For a woman who doesn’t like hats, Amber Ashy has worn a lot of them. Raised predominantly in southeast Texas, she worked in catering and retail as a teenager before enlisting in the USAF where she specialized in Emergency Management. Unsurprisingly after her first assignment overseas, she developed an avid passion for traveling. After 8 years of service (2001-2009), she traveled for a year checking off as many experiences on her bucket list as possible. This meant adventures like safari camping in Africa (lower 6 countries) to sailing on a retired racing vessel in Australia, as well as trekking through jungles in Malaysia. Having never booked a return ticket “home”, she decided to accept a job in Germany, bartending for the US Army. She was able to continue her higher education and graduated from UMUC Europe in Heidelberg with a BS in Marketing and an AS in Emergency Management. After 11 years abroad and visiting just shy of 50 countries, Amber relocated to Austin in 2016 to be closer to her family and lay down some roots.

 

While always having an affinity for cars, it wasn’t until Amber began her foray into automotive sales that her passion was truly ignited; that happened while working at Subaru. On a lark, Amber bid sight-unseen (under reserve) on a 2001 Carrera and won. After trading in her WRX while at a Service appointment at Porsche Austin, she was offered a Sales role and leaped at the chance. Although she adored the cars (particularly designing them) and her clients, she gradually desired more autonomy and became a licensed REALTOR® in 2020 with one goal: to help others grow their wealth.

 

In her free time, you’re likely to catch Amber volunteering for the non-profit organization, Hill Country Region Porsche Club. She serves as a Staff Writer for their magazine Horizons and as their Special Events Coordinator by orchestrating approximately 8 events throughout the year: ranging from member-only events like tours and winery visits to the semi-annual public event, "Coffee, Cars, and Croissants" (Porsche Edition) at Mozart’s on Lake Austin. 

 

Amber’s life experience, coupled with her professional accomplishments, has shaped her into a skilled negotiator with a myriad of interpersonal skills showcased by her track record. Over 95% of her clients can be traced back to her time in auto sales. The only difference is that now she is negotiating for them, not against them. Amber serves the greater Austin area and suburbs within an hour’s radius. Specializing in residential listings, she prides herself on fulfilling each client's unique needs. As her previous clients attest- "Amber is a creative problem solver, motivated, and always a text away." Her mantra is, 'words have meaning' and she’s the type of person to follow through to get the job done.
